Sonja Stephens has had a love for creating beautiful things all of her life.
By combining all of the talents she has acquired over time, she has been able
to create beautiful porcelain dolls. With her style and ability, she creates
the most lifelike looking dolls and gorgeous dresses to be seen
In the past, Sonja has sewn and designed clothing, been an interior design consultant, a hair stylist, cosmetic consultant and has many beautiful oil paintings to her tribute.
The business name "SonjaStyle," began in 1990. With her diversity of talents, she began making dolls the unique way all her own style. She has sold over 450 dolls in the last 10 years. Many buyers are attracted to how real her dolls look.
She has been teaching others the fine art of dolls for the last 8 years. She attends local and out of state shows, classes, and has entered competitions and brought home ribbons for her beautiful dolls. From the start of pouring greenware, to the actual creation and sewing of the clothing, she does it all.

Sonja's description of a Modern Reproduction, One of a Kind Doll
I do not sculpt the doll or make the mold myself. I pour greenware into a mold and clean
and fire it. I paint the porcelain and fire at least five times. The porcelain is sanded after each firing to feel smooth as glass.
Then I proceed to make the body and put it together using a poseable armature.
The doll comes alive as I choose hair and eye color. I add eyelashes and now the doll is ready for her clothes. I carefully select the fabrics with a design in mind. Many of my fabrics come from Asia. Beautiful silk designs. Many hours go into the design as changes are made to fit the look of the doll.
The interpretation of each doll makes her a One of a Kind. I never make two dolls alike, unless I make a series. I number my dolls and sign each one.
Dolls can be ordered if you would like to choose a hair and eye color. I also can duplicate a wedding doll with pictures of a bride. You can order a doll that can resemble a child, A Looks Like Me Doll.
